CCMAR Biobank was present at the 2nd Marine Forest Festival, which took place on May 2024 in Sagres.
This Festival provided an ideal opportunity for the CCMAR Biobank be presented to the general public interested in marine conservation. During the event, CCMAR Biobank seized the opportunity to showcase the macroalgae and microbiome diversity within its collection, emphasize the myriad of services it can offer and the research developed by the team.
Additionally, the CCMAR Biobank team helped to organize several activities for the general public, involving macroalgae sampling from the rocky intertidal zone and later species identification.
